K-pop sensation BTS’ latest album has become one of the most sold records in the US so far this year.
BTS’ third studio album “Love Yourself: Tear” has become the ninth most sold physical album in the US during the first half of 2018, becoming the only foreign language record to chart in the top 10, according to Nielsen Music’s Mid-Year Report for 2018.
The group sold 132,000 physical copies of the Korean-language album between its release on May 18 and the week ending June 28.

Pink, Justin Timberlake, Ed Sheeran and Bon Jovi also joined the top 10 best-selling physical albums.
What makes the chart performance more impressive is that the contenders including Divide by Ed Sheeran and Beautiful Trauma by Pink were released months before, while BTS’ album has been on sale for less than two months.
The group’s record-breaking album has spent seven weeks on the Billboard 200 albums chart, landing at 47th place this week, down 17 places from the previous week.
“Fake Love,” the lead single from the album, was knocked out of the Billboard Hot 100 this week after spending a total of six weeks on the chart.
The song debuted at No. 10, becoming the highest-charting US single by a K-pop group to date.
