The sweltering weather that had lasted throughout the week seems to have cooled, but high humidity is set to continue Friday.

The daytime high in Seoul will reach 27 degrees Celsius, 27 C in Incheon, 20 C in Gangneung, 27 C in Daejeon, 29 C in Gwangju, 23 C in Daegu and 23 C in Busan.

 
Rain showers are expected to fall sporadically along the east coast, Jeju Island and some parts of the South and North Chungcheong provinces. The weather agency expects about 10 to 40 millimeters of rain to fall along the east coast and on Jeju Island until Saturday morning.

Cloudy skies will be seen in the most parts of the country. No rain is forecast for the weekend, but monsoon weather is expected to return Monday.
