Han Seo-hee explains her ‘encounter’ with BTS’ V at club

June 24, 2018 - 12:16 By Lim Jeong-yeo
Han Seo-hee on Saturday explained in a social media post how she allegedly came to meet BTS’ V at a club.

Han had come under heavy fire after she let slip that she met V at a club when she was partying at the age of 19. Both Han and V were born in 1995. Her remark which suggested that V got into a club underage enraged the BTS fan club ARMY.

“I didn’t know him. I had a table with my friend, and he just came. Kim Ki-bum brought him. I didn’t even know who he was. ARMY, please don’t yap at me. I didn’t know him and nothing happened,” Han said in a video.

She playfully wagged her finger, her hands being the only thing visible on camera.

When fans asked her to clarify if she was a minor when she went clubbing and happened to see V, Han replied, “I went to clubs often when I was underage, but I don’t know that about V. Perhaps I wasn’t 19 when I met him at the club. I can’t remember straight.”

“What should I have done? Tell him to leave? He was a friend’s friend. I’m just amused that this is such an issue. I did not ask him to come. I asked Ki-bum to come and he showed up with V without giving me notice. It’s really a no big deal. Yes, it’ true we were in the club together, but that’s it. That’s the end,” Han said half-laughing.

“It’s funny. I had no idea he was this popular. Right, is BTS like a world-class star now? Hmm,” Han mused.

Han mixed expletives as she casually talked. She went on, “Wait, so what if I’m close with idols? It’s not like I only know one or two of them...and I’m closer to the guys. I don’t sleep with all of them, do I? I’m allowed to keep friends.”

Han, Kim Ki-bum and V are all the same age. Kim denied to the media that he ever took V to a club. As to his friendship with Han, Kim said that he lost touch with Han after she became ‘famous on the internet.’

Han was a K-pop idol trainee who was busted in 2017 for smoking marijuana with Big Bang’s T.O.P. She was sentenced to three years in prison with four years of probation in an appeal last September.

Declaring herself a feminist, Han has made claims that feminist beliefs only apply to those who are born a biological female, clashing with transgender celebrity Harisu and outspoken male feminist celebrity Yoo Ah-in.
