Novartis Korea recruits participants for ‘I-Eum’ program

June 6, 2018 - 15:23 By Kim Da-sol
Novartis Korea, the local branch of the Swiss pharmaceutical giant, said Wednesday it will recruit participants for a project to support patients who wish to return to work after having left due to illness.

In partnership with the Work Together Foundation, a public welfare foundation that helps youths, women and middle-aged people find jobs, the company said that the “I-Eum” program would “reconnect patients with hope, work and the world.”

Novartis Korea said the program aims to provide psychotherapy for emotional recovery and professional job training courses for selected patients over three months from July.

The company plans to address career-related issues during collective and individual counseling sessions under the program. It will also provide educational sessions on practical employment skills, such as Excel for business, financial accounting, speeches and presentations.

Interested applicants can download the application form on the Work Together Foundation website (http://hamkke.org), and send an email to wtjob@hamkke.org.

Any patient between 18 to 39 years old, who suffered or is currently under treatment for cancer or rare and severe diseases, can apply for the program. Application is open until June 24.
