Sunny skies after record low temperatures

Temperatures dropped to a record low on Sunday morning, with clear skies expected across the nation throughout the day.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the temperature in Seoul dropped to minus 2 degrees Celsius, minus 4 C in Chuncheon, minus 7.7 C in Daegwallyeong, zero in Daejeon, zero in Daegu, 6 C in Busan and 3 C in Gwangju.

Daytime highs are set to stand at 11 to 16 C. It is expected to be sunny throughout the day, with clear skies.

Temperatures will gradually rise next week, but the winter-like chill is forecast to arrive again on Thursday morning when the college entrance exam is scheduled.
