Nov. 8, 2017 - 14:24 By Shim Woo-hyun
Xi, a Korean apartment brand owned by GS Engineering & Construction, was named the top Korean brand by the 2017 Apartment Brand Power, an annual survey conducted by a real estate research firm showed Wednesday.

According to Drapt.com’s survey, which asked 1,940 people about their preferences among 40 different Korean apartment brands between Oct. 30 and Nov. 5, Xi topped the other brands in all three categories: brand awareness, preference and value.

This is the second year that Xi has topped the list. Xi was followed by Daelim Industrial’s e-Pyeonhan Sesang and Lotte Engineering & Construction’s Lotte Castle.

Samsung Construction & Trading’s Raemian and Posco Engineering & Construction’s The Shop were fourth and fifth, respectively.

When asked about their priorities when choosing an apartment, 51 percent said that the brand is the top factor if other options are similar. Another 13.4 percent said they would prioritize the size of the apartment complex, while 12.9 percent chose price as the most important factor, the survey showed. By Shim Woo-hyun (ws@heraldcorp.com)
