Nov. 4, 2017 - 12:13 By Yonhap
South Korean boy band BTS will perform at the upcoming music awards show in the United States later this month, its Seoul-based agency said Saturday.

BigHit Entertainment said BTS has been invited to perform at the American Music Awards at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Nov. 19. South Korean singer PSY previously showcased his music with MC Hammer at the show in 2012, but the agency said BTS is the first K-pop group to perform at the American Music Awards.

BTS will sing its hit single "DNA" at the 45th edition of the awards show that will be broadcasted live by ABC in US.

The American Music Awards are considered one of the top three music awards events along with the Billboard Music Awards and the Grammy Awards. BTS previously won the Top Social Artist award at the 2017 Billboard Music Awards in May.
