The chief executive of South Korea’s cosmetics powerhouse Amorepacific was named the 20th best-performing CEO in the world, the company said Wednesday.
Amorepacific Chairman Suh Kyung-bae ranked 20th globally and second in Asia on a list of 100 best-performing CEOs released annually by Harvard Business Review and INSEAD.

The evaluations were based on Amorepacific’s performance from June 29, 2006, when Amorepacific was set up as a separate entity from the holding company Amorepacific Group, to April 30, 2017.
In the 20 years that Suh has been leading Amorepacific, sales at the company have grown roughly 10 times to reach 6.7 trillion won ($5.9 billion), while operating profits have increased more than twentyfold to 1.08 trillion won, according to Amorepacific.
