The 23-year-old victim had ended her three-year romantic relationship with Ahn in late June. She reported to police that Ahn sexually assaulted her following numerous threats that he would notify her parents of their past sexual relations.

The court views Ahn’s crime as being “of gruesome nature” and that the victim would suffer from considerable psychological trauma.
