Gold bars and bank notes were found inside two deserted bags at Incheon Airport last week, Incheon International Airport Corp. said Thursday.
The bags were found on Oct. 3 at a restaurant inside the duty-free area of the departure hall and were filled with gold bars and cash worth about 40 million won ($35,200).

Incheon Main Customs, which is in charge of the investigation, is going through the surveillance footage to find who left the bags.
Customs authorities suspect that the owner tried to smuggle the gold bars out, violating the customs law, considering that the gold bars were made in Korea.
