Following news on the strong sales in the US market, the stock price of the tech firm surged 3 percent on Monday morning and closed at 46,300 won, a 1.2 percent rise from the previous day.
LG Electronics came in third in the US smartphone market with a 15.7 percent share in the third quarter, according to market research firm Strategy Analytics. Apple topped the market with a 33.1 percent share, followed by Samsung Electronics with a 24.4 percent share.
Following the launch in the US, LG Electronics recently began selling the V20 in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
