Angle Magazine hosts poetry, music events

Sept. 28, 2016 - 19:05 By Korea Herald
Expat-run Angle Magazine will host two events to showcase creativity in Busan and Ulsan this week.

After running a showcase stage at the Cheoyong Culture Festival last year, the online magazine will take over the Asia Pacific Music Meeting stage Monday to host a selection of five bands from the southern end of the country.

The show will be in front of the bamboo forest of Taehwa Grand Park in Ulsan from 1:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The bands are Amazing Visual, Kim Il Du, Tengger, Astronuts and 57.

“Last year’s show was a great success, with some of the acts catching the eye of APaMM delegates who were still around, and we’re hoping to bring wider recognition to our selection of acts this year as well,” said Angle founder Philip Brett.

In Busan, the online magazine will host an international book fair at HQ Bar in the Kyungsung University area. The fair will host work by 12 different authors, who will also read their work. This includes Ryan Estrada, Chris Tharp and Sean O’Gorman, who is also the magazine’s literary editor.
