The Herald Business is pleasantly co-organizing a forest healing essay contest in partnership with the Korea Forest Service and the Korea Forest Welfare Institute, or FoWi. Sponsored by the Green Fund, the contest has been organized to promote the value of forests and their positive healing effects on wounded hearts.

Essay topic

Any personal healing experience from forests

Experiences of having overcome an array of problems, such as cancer, depression, alcoholism, game addiction or family problems, are all welcomed to be shared.

Prizes

The grand prize winner receives the minister award and 2,000,000 won.

Two gold prize winners receive the KFS head award and 1,000,000 won.

Four silver prize winners receive the KFS head award and 500,000 won.

10 prize winners receive the FoWi head award and 100,000 won.

Judges

The panel of judges include forest experts. Essays will be selected based on completeness (30%), veracity (30%), originality (20%) and the promotion of forests (20%).

Essays must be three pages long at minimum and submitted by email (sjmin@fowi.or.kr) or registered mail (Korea Forest Welfare Institute, Hanbatdaero 755, Seo-gu, Daejeon Metropolitan City).
