Fitbit Charge 2 and Flex 2 coming to Korea

Aug. 30, 2016 - 15:34 By Lim Jeong-yeo
US wearable-maker Fitbit will launch its newest fitness wristband models Charge 2 and Flex 2 in Korea in September and in October, respectively, the company announced Tuesday.

Fitbit Charge 2 (Fitbit)

Fitbit Charge 2 has a display screen that is four times larger than its predecessor Charge HR, which allows the wearer to see all information in one screen. Just as HR did, this Charge 2 allows non-stop monitoring of heartrate, checks the wearer’s inner oxygen level and offers recommended breathing for maximum fitness results.

Fitbit Flex 2 (Fitbit)

Fitbit Flex 2 on the other hand took the opposite approach to reduce its size by 30 percent to its preceding model. The new smaller band has enhanced waterproof features that will withstand water pressure at a depth of up to 50 meters, which will enable convenient workout monitoring even while swimming.

Both Charge 2 and Flex 2 have swappable bands, meaning they can be styled in a variety of colors and materials according to the occasion.

In the US, the prices for each model are marked as $144.95 for Charge 2 and $99.95 for theFlex 2. The domestic price has not been fixed yet.

Release dates for swappable bands other than the original classic are also yet to be decided.
