Galleria Department Store celebrates anniversary with discounts

Hanwha Group’s retail unit Hanwha Galleria is celebrating the 37th anniversary of its first department store opening, providing various promotional events until Oct. 1, the company said.

Hanwha Galleria opened its very first Galleria Department Store in September 1979 in Apgujeong, southern Seoul, known as one of country’s most luxurious and affluent neighborhoods.

With Wtih the event Family Party underway, customers can receive a 5 percent discount from the original price when they make a purchase with a Galleria card. An additional 5 percent discount is available at Galleria’s multibrand shop G. STREET494 until Sept. 4, the company said.

A wide variety of discounts and giveaways are in store for those who purchase a package of special deals jointly launched by Hanwha’s hotel brand The Plaza Hotel and Galleria for the 37th anniversary. The package consists of a 30,000 won ($27) Galleria gift card, gifts worth 210,000 won ($188), a 20 -30 percent markdown on the price offered to resort members when staying at any of the 12 resorts owned by Hanwha, and more, according to a company statement.

Those who issue a Galleria card for the first time between Aug. 26 and Sept. 4 can get various discount coupons and benefits.
