The awards given at the ceremony change year by year depending on that year‘s events in the accessories world. MCM is the first company to have received a trendsetter award since Camila Alves received it in 2012.

The ACE Awards are given to designers, brands, journalists and style icons who have had a positive influence on the accessories industry over the past year. Vogue magazine calls it one of the “most beloved New York fashion awards shows.”

Other honorees this year included actress Julianna Margulies for her style on the TV series “The Good Wife” together with costume designer Daniel Lawson, as well as Ray-Ban for brand of the year and Coach designer Stuart Vevers for designer of the year.

The Accessories Council is a non-profit international trade organization established in 1994 for the advancement of the fashion accessories industry.
