Aug. 12, 2016 - 15:18 By 박한나
[THE INVESTOR] Unionized workers at Oriental Brewery, the South Korean unit of Anheuser-Busch InBev, have decided to expand their strike as wage negotiations with the management fell through, the company’s labor union said Aug. 12.

From Aug. 13, office workers of Oriental Brewery, known for its flagship OB beer, will join the protest which has been led by production line workers at the company’s factories in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province and Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province from July.

According to sources, the unionists seek to raise their wage by an average of 9.3 percent while the management deems it excessive.

“We will try to resolve the problem by putting continued efforts for negotiations,” an official at OB said.
