First-ever Korean chartered flight lands in Scotland

The first-ever Korean chartered flight landed in Glasgow, Scotland on Aug. 5, opening a fresh and convenient travel experience for Korean customers, a local company Hanjin Travel said Wednesday.

Hanjing Travel, an affilate of the nation‘s largest air carrier Korean Air, also plans to send two more from Incheon Airport to Glasgow Airport on Aug. 12 and 19, the company said.

Hanjin Travel CEO Kwon Oh-sang and travelers on the chartered plane received a warm welcome from Scottish officials and children there, congratulating the company’s attempt to bring Korean travelers to Scotland without having to catch a transfer flights from other European cities including London. It takes about 13 hours from Incheon to Glasgow, the company added.

Hanjin‘s travel package includes not only a non-stop flight service but also accommodation to carefully selected hotels. The travel company also offers the best tour course around Scotland and a visit to Edinburgh Festival, accompanied by local guides.

The company also presents a variety of travel packages including a trip to Iceland and England as well as golf trips to other countries.
