Vietnamese EFT to start trading in Seoul in July

June 30, 2016 - 13:53 By 김지현
[THE INVESTOR] A Vietnamese exchange-traded fund will make its South Korean debut via the KINDEX Vietnam VN30 ETF on July 1, according to the local bourse operator Korea Exchange on June 30.

The VN30 will be the first Vietnamese ETF to make real-time investments in the benchmark KINDEX.

“Investor demand for Vietnamese stocks has been growing after the Vietnamese government recently raised the ceiling on foreign stakes in Vietnamese companies,” said Dan Il-soon, a director of ETF market team at Korea Exchange.

KINDEX Vietnam VN30 EFT will be run by local asset managing firm, Korea Investment Management Co.
