Built as the first domestic building with an integrated building energy management system last year March, the Anyang R&D campus was particularly recognized for saving 10 percent of total energy through its solar energy production, energy storage system and energy management system, in which sensors located throughout the campus turn off lights and heating or cooling systems in empty offices.

Meanwhile, the company’s factory in Cheongju also saved 6.5 percent of energy through its factory energy management system, which saved costs up to 110 million won ($93,000).
