Samsung Electronics Co. said Monday it will hold its global strategic meeting next week, where top executives will share ideas on finding sustainable growth engines.

The two-day meeting slated for June 21-22 will be held at its headquarter located in Suwon, south of Seoul. Around 400-500 executives from home and abroad usually attend the biannual gathering.


Executives will share ideas on maintaining growth amid the prolonged global economic slump during the close-door event, industry watchers said.

Lee Jae-yong, the heir-apparent of Samsung Group, is also expected to join some of the sessions over the two days.

Samsung Electronics, the group's key affiliate, has recently been facing challenges amid the ailing smartphone business, hurt by the market's saturation and the rise of Chinese rivals.
