Two Korean clubs will be chasing quarterfinals berths at the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League this week after failing to pick up victories in the opening legs of the round of 16.

Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors will host Melbourne Victory at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Jeonju World Cup Stadium in Jeonju, North Jeolla Province. The two played to a 1-1 draw last week in Australia.

With an away goal in the bag, Jeonbuk can advance to the quarters for the second straight year with at least a scoreless draw Tuesday.

In the K League Classic contest against the Jeonnam Dragons Saturday, Jeonbuk head coach Choi Kang-hee rested most of the players who'd traveled to Melbourne for the AFC match.

Jeonbuk, which have won the past two K League titles, are going for both the league trophy and the AFC title in 2016.

Also in the AFC play, FC Seoul will host Urawa Red Diamonds at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Seoul World Cup Stadium.

FC Seoul suffered a 1-0 loss last week. They were the offensive juggernaut in the group stage, leading all 32 clubs with 17 goals in six matches, but were blanked for only the second time in this year's AFC Champions League.

FC Seoul can reach the quarters with a victory by two or more goals. The triumvirate of their offensive stars -- Adriano, Dejan Damjanovic and Park Chu-young -- will look to return to their scoring ways in the crucial match. (Yonhap)
