South Korean footballer Ji So-yun was named to the Team of the Year in the top English women's football league for the second time in a row Thursday (local time).

The Professional Footballers' Association announced the best lineups in the 2015-2016 season of its pro football leagues and Ji, who plays for Chelsea Ladies FC, was included on the Football Association Women's Super League Team of the Year as a right winger. It was Ji's second straight appearance in a lineup decided by the WSL players' votes.

The 25-year-old attacking midfielder will also try to defend her WSL Player of the Year honors as she was among the six nominees for the prestigious award. The PFA will announce the winner on Sunday in London.

Ji, who joined the English club from the Japanese side INAC Kobe Leonessa in 2014, led Chelsea Ladies to the league title and the FA Cup last season. This season, she also helped the Blues beat Manchester City Women in the FA Cup semifinals by netting an equalizer in her team's 2-1 victory. Chelsea Ladies will take on Arsenal next month in their title defense.

Ji is the all-time leading scorer in South Korean women's football with 39 goals in 87 matches. (Yonhap)
