[Graphic News] Salaries of workers rise slightly, working hours fall

Employees of companies with at least five workers received average monthly pay of 3.56 million won ($3,110) as of January, up 6.4 percent from a year before, the Ministry of Employment and Labor said.

Permanent employees received an average of 3.75 million, compared to temporary and contract-based workers’ 1.5 million won.

Average monthly working hours were 168.8 per employee, shorter by 6.2 hours from 2015.
