NH NongHyup Bank, which has the largest number of ATMs in Korea, said its recently-launched checking account would offer limitless ATM charge exemptions.
The bank’s NH Main Transaction Preferential Account offers up to 2 percent annual interest with a minimum annual deposit of 1 million won ($866), the nation’s fourth-largest lender said.

In particular, the account enables customers to use NH NongHyup’s 26,000 ATMs in convenience stores, subways, railway stations across the country for free, for cash withdrawals and inward and outward transfers, except cash withdrawals from other bank accounts.
Most banks limit ATM charge exemptions to five or 10 per month for outward transfers.
Another product, NH Main Transaction Preferential Fixed Deposit, offers up to 1.84 percent annual interest on deposits between 1 million won and 500 million won.
The bank’s NH Main Transaction Preferential Loan offers up to 3 million won in cash without any request of documents, as long as the customer has a transaction history with the bank.
The bank said its NH All One Card, a credit card it launched a year ago, has attracted more than 800,000 users as of Feb. 24.
