Magnitude 3.0 earthquake hits N. Korea

March 27, 2016 - 21:47 By 원호정
A 3.0-magnitude earthquake believed to have occurred naturally struck North Korea on Sunday, South Korea's weather agency said.

The quake was detected at 6.28 p.m. some 12km southeast of Pyongsong, South Pyongan Province, in central North Korea, the Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) said.

Considering the shape and amplitude of the tremor, it doesn't seem to have been caused artificially, the KMA added. (Yonhap)
