Want to watch half a dozen movies but only have a couple hours to spare? Seoul Players and Stand-up Seoul might be able to help you out.

Performers from the two groups will stage a joint show on Friday, with each one attempting to perform a movie in 10 minutes.

This can be through a “sweded” presentation, in which the story is retold in much-edited form, but some performers are more off-piste in how they present their film.

“Some people do a PowerPoint presentation, some people do a ‘meta’ idea, they step outside and embody the character and some people just take it and make it their own kind of thing, like a documentary or a commentary on the film,” said Chris Zaczek, who is producing the show.

It is the second year that “Movies in 10” is being staged. Zaczek said that last year someone read a comedic diary to mirror the format of Frankenstein, while another performer emerged wet and naked to reenact the baby being born in “2001: A Space Odyssey.”

This year’s performances will include “No Country for Old Men,” “Star Wars, The Force Awakens,” “Die Hard” and “Ferris Beuller’s Day Off.”

Apart from the movie recreations, the White Lies Burlesque troupe will be performing at the show, and the organizers of the Korea International Expat Film Festival will be screening a specially cut version of an original movie classic.

“Movies in 10” will be held at the Rocky Mountain Tavern. Doors open at 9 p.m. and admission is 5,000 won.
