The organizers of Busan’s Global Gathering festival are looking for exhibitors and performers to take part in the city’s largest annual multicultural event on May 21.
Busan Metropolitan City Government, Busan Foundation for International Cooperation and Busan Immigration Office are recruiting local and foreign participants interested in exhibiting food or arts and crafts, as well as those interested in performing at the festival.
Global Gathering 2016, the eleventh festival to date, will be held at Songsanghyeon Square. There will be cultural performances and creative activities as well as a variety of international cuisines and flea markets.
This year’s festival hopes to feature about 100 exhibitors from 30 different nations.
This global gathering is held each year to show support for cultural exchanges and cooperation between international cities, said Kim Bo-min, a representative from the Busan Foundation for International Activities. The event is organized by the Busan government and the Busan Foundation for International Cooperation.
Kim also said that BFIA will join the Busan Immigration Office in 2016 to celebrate Together Day, another event that will allow people to experience other cultures.
