On the secondary Kosdaq bourse, trading via mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets surged past 30 percent for the first time in 2015, it said.

The ratio of mobile transactions on the retail investor-driven Kosdaq has been rising sharply in the past years, moving from 4.1 percent in 2010 to 24.35 percent in 2014.

But the 2015 level, at 30.11 percent, represents an accelerating pace of growth, with the number of transactions more than doubling.

On the KOSPI market, the ratio of mobile trading moved similarly but with a slightly slower pace of growth from 3.46 percent in 2010 to 21.50 percent in 2014, and to 27.33 percent in 2015.
