Hanwha Engineering and Construction opened its 50th “Kkumegreen Library” at the Seoul Eden Welfare Center for the Disabled on Wednesday, company officials said.
Attending the opening event was Hanwha E&C CEO Choi Kwang-ho and around 30 company executives and welfare center employees.
The Kkumegreen Library project is a social welfare program by Hanwha held in collaboration with the Seoul Association of Welfare Institutes for the Disabled.

The builder opened the first library in March 2011 and plans to open a total of 60 libraries by 2016. Company executives and staff have helped out with construction, remodeling and book donations for the library.
Hanwha E&C also participated in a number of social welfare programs in the past few years, such as providing field trips and classes on construction for elementary and middle school students.
The company has donated a total of 1,000 books to various welfare centers and plans to additionally donate an average of 1,000 books to Kkumegreen libraries.
