Hyundai Card’s “Digital Hyundai Card” project, launched in October, has set benchmarks for the future of digital cards.

The company said its digital card has tried to go a different path from the typical mobile cards that other card companies offered.

While card companies provided a mobile-only card that simply digitizing the credit card system, the Digital Hyundai Card differentiated itself by providing additional services using digital technology based on customers’ needs.

The “Lock & Limit”, Digital Hyundai Card’s first digital service, allows customers to freely control different credit card user settings on the Hyundai Card app. The service provides a smooth user experience by providing a simple explanation on its functions.

Hyundai Card also launched the “virtual card number” service last week, which prevents card identity theft online, providing online security and user convenience at the same time.

Ted Chung, vice chairman and CEO of Hyundai Card, said on his Facebook page that he plans to apply both fundamental and small helpful applications onto the Digital Hyundai Card and develop the service at its own pace.

“Digital Hyundai Card is seeking to offer a digital service that customers can use conveniently in everyday life,” said a Hyundai Card official, who added that the company plans to provide additional services in the near future.
