“Korea is a very important market for British Airways. I am delighted to be serving our customers in one of the most vibrant cities in the world. I look forward to working closely with the British Airways team here and our valued partners across the region,” Alvarez said.

According to Jonty Brunner, the carrier’s regional commercial manager for Japan and Korea, the Korean office of British Airways has been showing continuous growth since it launched nonstop flights from London to Seoul in 2012.

“Manuel brings with him a wealth of experience in the international aviation industry. I am confident that his extensive knowledge and worldwide experience will drive our business to new heights,” he said.
