President Park Geun-hye attended a session with dozens of Asia-Pacific leaders on how to build inclusive growth on Thursday, the second and last day of their annual summit in the Philippines.

The leaders of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit are expected to exchange opinions on specific measures to achieve inclusive growth amid a global economic slowdown, according to Cheong Wa Dae, South Korea's presidential office.

Park also plans to highlight that the revitalization of the service industry could be an impetus for inclusive growth in the region and to propose internationalization of small and medium enterprises.

Small and medium companies account for over 97 percent of all enterprises and employ over half of the workforce across APEC economies, according to APEC.

The summit brings together leaders of the 21 member states, including the United States, China, Japan and Australia, which together account for nearly 60 percent of global gross domestic product and almost half of world trade.

The leaders also plan to hold another session later in the day on inclusive growth, which is designed to help, among other things, all people and communities in the region participating in the global economy.

This year the summit is meant to focus on inclusive growth, but it is being overshadowed by the recent deadly terror attacks in Paris that killed more than 120 people.

The leaders are set to end their summit later in the day by adopting a joint statement, which is expected to include, among other things, condemnation of the Paris attacks. (Yonhap)
