Seoul Global Center is opening another round of support for start-ups run by expats in the city.

The center will again run its free Business Start-up School next month, and is accepting applications from foreign start-ups for incubation offices for the first half of next year.

The Business Start-up School will run Nov. 16-27 at the center’s main building near Jongak Station.

The course consists of evening classes covering 10 subjects useful to would-be entrepreneurs, including information on business plan formation, taxes, intellectual property and business registration.

Those completing the course will get a certificate, 25 points toward a start-up visa and access to further coaching and counseling.

The center is also recruiting companies to use its start-up incubator offices in Yeouido, Coex and in its main building. The offices will be available from Jan. 2 to June 30.

The offices can accommodate a maximum of 12 companies, which will also have access to business advice and office equipment during the period.

Applicants must have a relevant visa, and firms with export prospects will be given preference.

Applications close Nov. 6 for the start-up school and Nov. 16 for the incubation offices. For application forms or information on how to apply, visit global.seoul.go.kr.
