Pernod-Ricard releases Imperial Neon

Oct. 27, 2015 - 18:05 By KH디지털2

Pernod-Ricard Korea announced Tuesday the company’s release of “Imperial Neon.”

Imperial Neon retains the value and quality of Scotch whisky, but has a smooth taste, responding to the demands for a smoother-tasting whisky, company officials said.

The Scotch is infused with notes of apple, pear, golden honey and hazelnut, presenting a smoother texture suited to Koreans’ tastes.

Company officials added that the product is suitable for both casual get-togethers and formal business meetings.

“Neon” comes from the neon signs lighting up at night so customers can associate the product with the excitement and entertainment of city night life.

Its packaging also gives off a sophisticated yet lighthearted design, with the bottle cut in a diamond angle and a blue label reminiscent of a neon sign.

Pernod-Ricard Korea CEO Jean-Manuel Spriet said that Imperial Neon was designed to approach customers in a friendlier manner, and hoped that the product will make people enjoy Scotch in more comfortable and casual settings.

Imperial Neon is a non-aging, super premium whisky and will be sold in a 450-millileter bottle for 22,385 won ($19.80).
