Yoon Eun-hye cancels BIFF attendance after plagiarism disputeActress Yoon Eun-hye on Wednesday canceled her plans to attend the 20th Busan International Film Festival.
Her managing agency JARMY Entertainment said this decision was “due to many situational complications.”
Yoon was supposed to hold a talk session with moviegoers as the director for independent short film “Red Eye,” which has been invited to the festival’s “Wide Angle” section.
The ongoing dispute over her alleged plagiarism of clothes design is forcing the actress to minimize public activities.
Earlier this month, Yoon put forth a coat that she claimed she designed for a Chinese fashion competition program, “The Goddess’ New Outfit.”
Not too long after the broadcast, fashion label Arche’s designer Yoon Choon-ho contacted the actress, who often wears his design works, and claimed that her coat was a copy of his work.
Yoon, known for her role in “Coffee Prince,” is yet to offer a clear explanation about the dispute.
