Korea’s unemployment rate decreased from 3.9 percent in June to 3.7 percent in July as more people were hired, data showed Wednesday.

According to Statistics Korea, the number of employed people reached slightly more than 26.30 million last month, with 326,000 new jobs being created on-year.

July marked the third month in a row that more than 300,000 jobs have been created in the country.

Officials said most of new jobs were created in the manufacturing and services sector as the government and the private sector are seeking to stimulate the sagging economy.
