The Salvation Army Korea signed an agreement Wednesday with local companies to provide medical expenses for the physically challenged in low-income households.
In cooperation with Cochlear Korea, Seimmedex Korea, Asianstar and Surgitech Korea, the Salvation Army will give financial aid to handicapped people having trouble paying their medical bills. Those wishing to receive the benefit can apply to the Christmas Kettle headquarters.
“We’re glad that more people are participating in supporting the low-income handicapped people. We wish that the project will help these people lead healthier, happier lives,” said Lee Su-geun, the Salvation Army’s Christmas Kettle headquarters secretary-general.
