Hip-hop artist MC Mong, who was once mired in a draft-dodging scandal, will hold his first solo concert in six years, his label DreamT Entertainment said on Monday.
Titled “The Happiest Time in My Life,” the concert will be held at the Lehzin Comics V-Hall in Seogyo-dong, western Seoul on Sept. 4-6 and 11-13.
“The concert will be a time where MC Mong will meet with fans in six years,” an official from the label said. “He is preparing for a memorable time to share with his fans who have waited for a long time.”

MC Mong, whose real name is Shin Dong-hyun, was accused of intentionally extracting teeth to avoid the two-year mandatory military service in 2010. Later, he was cleared of charges, but was sentenced to a suspended six-month jail term, one-year probation and 120 hours of community service for delaying his military service.
Since the scandal, the singer kept a low profile for four years and returned to the music scene in 2014 by releasing a full-length album “Miss Me or Diss Me,” which topped major local charts. He also dropped EP “Song For You” in January 2015. Both the times, he did not make any appearances on stage or TV.
The upcoming two-hour long concert arrives after a six-year hiatus since his last national tour in 2009.
The tickets for the concert will open online on Tuesday.
