The Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry has published a report detailing diverse social contribution programs led by 11 German companies in Korea, including Stuttgart Sports Cars Ltd., BASF, BMW Group, Mercedes-Benz and Bayer Korea.

The KGCCI’s CSR Report describes diverse programs run by 11 German firms to fulfill their corporate social responsibility, or CSR, which refers to a company’s voluntary efforts to engage with and give back to the community.

KGCCI decided to compile the report to improve public awareness on the various CSR efforts the German companies are engaged in as well as introduce a wider range of social contribution activities carried out by the firms.

For instance, Stuttgart Sports Car Ltd. offers financial support and training to underprivileged children who show potential in ballet, while BASF runs a chemistry education program for kids aged 6 to 12. BMW Group provides education and mentorship to underprivileged students majoring in the automotive departments at industrial high schools, among others.
