Seoul book club hosts authors for panel discussion

The Seoul Book and Culture Club will meet Saturday to mark the completion of the Bilingual Edition series of books with a panel discussion featuring authors and a translator.

Biligual Edition is a series of 110 books containing modern Korean fiction in Korean and English, with critical analysis, author biographies and explanations of the background to the books.

The panel will feature Bang Hyeon-seok, author of “A Decade” and “When They Call My Name”; Kim Jae-young, author of “Gluttony” and “The Elephant”; and Sora-Kim Russell, whose translations include Shin Kyung-sook’s “I’ll Be Right There” and Gong Ji-young’s “Our Happy Time.”

Books will be on sale at the event and prize giveaways will be made, as well as book signings by the authors.

The event will run from 4-6 p.m. at the Seoul Global Cultural Center in the M Plaza building in Myeong-dong. Admission is free.
