South Korean singer CL will be performing at a North American music festival this summer, her agency said Sunday.

CL, who leads South Korean girl group 2NE1, is taking part in this year's Mad Decent Block Party, YG Entertainment said.

The festival will make stops in 19 North American cities from July 31 to Sept. 26.

CL is performing in Brooklyn, New York, on Aug. 9; Berkeley, California, on Sept. 11; and Los Angeles, California, on Sept. 19.

The announcement comes as the multilingual star is expected to make her U.S. solo debut in the spring, though the exact date is unknown.

CL signed with Scooter Braun, a talent manager who groomed Justin Bieber and Psy, late last year.

MDBP is a festival featuring pop and dance musicians from all over the world.

This year, it will start in Atlanta, Florida, and wrap up in Chicago, Illinois. (Yonhap)
