Daegu Story Slam open to advice

April 1, 2015 - 20:08 By Korea Herald
The Daegu Story Slam will get its eighth run this month.

The story slams are a live retelling of true tales, with each night’s stories based on a theme, with this week’s being “So I took their advice …”

Stories should be told without the benefit of notes or memorization and should be true accounts, rather than works of fiction or poetry.

The evening follows an open mic format, with storytellers’ names put into a bucket at the beginning of the night and randomly drawn out to perform.

The story slam will be held at Communes in downtown Daegu on April 11 at 10 p.m.
