Busan foundation to support multicultural events

March 18, 2015 - 19:37 By Korea Herald
The Busan Foundation for International Activities is offering financial support for foreign community events in the city.

The foundation plans to provide at least 29 different expat-affiliated organizations with a maximum of 500,000 won to help them stage their events.

The annual program supports nonprofit events to offer opportunities for foreign residents and to give Busanites the chance to take part in multicultural events.

Last year’s recipients included Busan International Women’s Association, an Indonesian cultural event, and a Mongolian basketball competition.

Those who are given support are required to submit a report and photos on the event in the week after it is held. Funding is given retrospectively.

Those seeking BFIA support should visit bfia.or.kr and enroll their communities on the site, as well as complete a funding request form.
