South Korea plans to sell state bonds worth 7.65 trillion won ($6.97 billion) in March, the Ministry of Strategy and Finance said Thursday.

According to the ministry, the government will sell 1.9 trillion won in three-year Treasurys, 1.9 trillion won in five-year debts and 2.05 trillion won worth of 10-year bonds next month.

It also plans to issue 850 billion won worth of 20-year bonds and 950 billion won in 30-year bonds.

The ministry said it sold little over 8.66 trillion won worth of bonds in February, with 64 billion won being so-called Treasury inflation protected securities. The total is larger than the original goal of 7.65 trillion won announced in late January. (Yonhap)
