K-pop boy band EXO claimed the top prize on the second day of the 29th Golden Disk Awards in Beijing on Thursday.

The 10-member group snatched the Album of the Year award, deemed the greatest honor of the day, for the second consecutive year with its album “Overdose.”

This year’s Golden Disk Awards recognized both digital and physical album releases on the two-day event.

Big Bang member Taeyang snagged the Digital Single of the Year award with his solo track “Eyes, Nose, Lips” on Wednesday.

EXO released its third EP last May, which became the best-selling album of the year with more than 600,000 copies sold.

As Hollywood star Jackie Chan handed over the prize, EXO leader Suho said, “We are honored to receive the award once again this year. We love you all.”

CNBLUE, another boy band, made good showings by nabbing four accolades: the Main Award, the China Good Will Award, the CeCi Asia Icon Award and the iQiyi Popularity Award.

K-pop girl group Apink won the Best Female Performance Award while boy band SHINee’s Taemin grabbed the Popularity Award.

The New Artist Award went to Red Velvet, a four-member group that debuted in August 2014 with the EP “Happiness.”

Started in 1986, the annual Golden Disk Awards are among the most prestigious music awards in Asia, gaining recognition as the Korean version of the Grammy Awards.
