The South Korean shooting team grabbed silver in the men’s 10-meter air rifle at the Asian Games on Tuesday.
The trio of Han Jin-seop, Kim Sang-do and Kim Hyeon-jun put together 1,867.6 points to capture silver, 18.8 points behind China, which took a substantial lead from the onset.
India shot 1,863 points for bronze at Ongnyeon International Shooting Range in South Korea’s western port city of Incheon.
At the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games, South Korea won bronze in this distance.
Kim Sang-do led the host nation’s achievement with a score of 626.1, which placed him on the top-eight list for the individual final slated for later in the day. His teammate, Kim Hyeon-jun, finished eighth.

Han, the triple gold medalist at the 2010 Asiad, finished a disappointing 17th.
China is gearing up for the hunt for more shooting medals, as all of its three shooters ― Cao Yifei, Yang Haoran, and Liu Tianyou ― qualified for the final.
Tuesday’s achievement brought the total number of shooting medals won by South Korea to nine, including three golds in the 10-meter air pistol and 25-meter pistol events.
Lee wins gymnastics bronzeSouth Korean gymnast Lee Sang-wook took the bronze medal in the men’s individual all-around final at the Asian Games on Tuesday.
Lee scored a total of 87.200 points from the floor exercise, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars and horizontal bar, giving South Korea its first Asiad medal in the men’s individual all-around in 12 years.
Yuya Kamoto and Masayoshi Yamamoto, both of Japan, took the gold and silver.
Kamoto scored 87.950 points and Yamamoto earned 87.500 points.
Kamoto led the field in the floor exercise, rings and parallel bars, while Yamamoto posted the top scores in pommel horse and vault. (Yonhap)
