INCHEON (Yonhap) ― Following the stunning result at the men’s 200-meter freestyle, swimming medalists Park Tae-hwan of South Korea, Sun Yang of China and Japan’s Kosuke Hagino will have a second showdown in the men’s 400-meter freestyle on Tuesday at the Incheon Asian Games.
The three medalists will race in the heats in the morning at Munhak Park Tae-hwan Aquatics Center and, should they all qualify, in the medal decider at 8:16 p.m.
Park will swim in the fifth lane in Heat 3, while Sun will take the fourth.
Hagino will race in the fourth lane in Heat 2.

In the 200-meter race on Sunday, the 20-year-old Japanese swimmer surged to a surprise win with a time of 1:40.23, outpacing Sun and Park, the strong favorites who shared silver in that event at the 2012 Olympics.
South Korean archers will gear up for a gold medal performance as the qualification rounds of the men’s and women’s recurve and compound take place at Gyeyang Asiad Archery Field.
All 16 archers are expected to advance to the knockout stage that kicks off on Thursday.
In fencing, South Korea anticipates golds from both the men’s team epee and women’s team sabre.
The country scooped up two gold medals in the events’ individual divisions on Saturday, with Jung Jin-sun winning the men’s individual epee and Lee Ra-jin topping the women’s individual sabre.
Male and female judokas are gunning for their first golds in the team event that will make its debut at the Incheon Asiad. In the team event, five judokas from each weight class will take on an opponent in the best-of-five competition.
