Juri Ueno from ‘Nodame Cantabile,’ is impressed by Sim Eun-kyung

Japanese actress Juri Ueno expressed her deep impressions from Korean actress Shim Eun-kyung.

Shim is to play the same role as Juri did on Japanese hit drama “Nodame Cantabile.”

“I was deeply impressed,” Juri said in a local television interview.

Mentioning Shim’s recent film “Miss Granny,” Juri said Shim played a unique concept of the character very well. “Shim’s acting moved people’s hearts.”

She also gave a supportive message to Shim for the Korean remake of “Nodame Cantabile.”

“(Acting) is hard work but worth it. It’s also lots of fun. I hope you challenge other various characters in the future. I can’t wait to see the Korean-version drama ‘Cantabile Tomorrow,’” Juri said to Sim.

Regarding her role in Japanese drama “Nodame Cantabile,” she expressed her fondness for the main character.

“I liked the original comic book. The main character was so charming. I thought she was special unlike other typical female characters,” she said.)

Korean drama “Cantabile Tomorrow,” based on a popular Japanese comic book, will star Joo Won, Shim Eun-kyung and Baek Yoon-sik. The first episode will air on Oct. 13.
