Sept. 18, 2014 - 21:23 By Korea Herald
KT Corp. said Thursday that it had been selected as the No. 1 company in terms of quality mobile communication and high-speed Internet services by the Korean Standards Association and the Korean Society for Quality Management.

The KSA-KSQM’s 2014 Korean Standard-Quality Excellence Index showed that the country’s largest telecommunications company excelled in the two services.

The index measures the quality of products and services through surveys of consumers.

KT won the top honor on account of its next-generation high-quality network services such as broadband LTE-A, GiGA Internet and GiGA Wi-Fi.

Its unique marketing programs such as the Sponge Plan and Olleh KT Club membership were also highly recognized by consumers.

KT has been focusing on customer satisfaction, providing customized services through big data technologies, and developing products to meet customers’ needs.

Its 24-hour call centers to accommodate customers also received a high score.

“We will continue to provide high-quality services to customers,” a KT official said.
